New Feature: Favorites

After some time in development we are now happy to release a brand new feature to the website! When browsing the website or viewing peoples profiles you can now “favorite” specific tracks. In order to favorite a track simply look for the grayed out heart icon next to the song you like as seen in the images below.

As you can see above, when you click on a heart it turns pink/red to indicate that you have added it to your favorites. Intuitively, by clicking on any pink/red heart you will remove the track from your favorites. This new feature allows you to sift through and listen to your favorite tracks without having to remember specifically each individual one and puts them all in one place.

This “one place” is the favorites page within your account. If you are logged in you will see a new “Favorites” link at the top right account box as well as on the left hand menu of your account control panel. Clicking this page takes you to the one stop shop for listening to your favorite music. See the image below.

All of the tracks that you have favorited across the the website will be listed here (newest first) for you to play through. We have also added a favorite artist tracker where you can see which artists you seem to be the biggest fan of and how many tracks you have favorited for each.

We hope you enjoy this new feature as we think it should greatly improve your ability to get back to your top tracks with minimal clicks. Also, we will be adding the ability to pop out this list as a playlist in the stream popup very soon so be excited!

Nocturnal Festival: Texas Lineup Update

After a while of waiting it Nocturnal Festival announced the remaining artists for the Texas stop and it’s gunna be a doozy. The initial lineup itself was impressive with Armin Van Buuren, Disco Biscuits, ATB, Pretty Lights, Girl Talk and Laidback Luke but check out the lineup and stage assignments below!

The Musical Nike Shoes

In one of Nike’s latest shoe ads they teamed up with the break-beat group Hifana to create one of the cooler ads we’ve seen. It appears to be one very impressive set of CGI and video editing but is apparently the real deal. Nike created a special set of shoes in order to allow the performance and make sure to note that the real shoes won’t be quite so musically talented.

Needless to say it is a very cool video and a lot of effort went into it’s production. It sure would be cool if these were shoes you could actually buy or if Hifana decided to take this setup on tour.

Welcome to Pulse Blend

Welcome to the Beta launch of Pulse Blend! Here at Pulse Blend artists can upload their own tracks to increase their fan base, receive feedback and comments, etc. Also, users can add local events and tour schedules so that fans can follow them and attend.

Similarly, listeners can register in order to follow their favorite artists and be notified when they add new tracks or events. Users can also download and rate their favorite tracks.

We have also implemented a “stream” feature so that visitors can listen to an endless playlist of the top songs from each genre or across the entire website. This stream utilizes a popup so that you can continue on with your normal browsing without affecting the playback.

As mentioned this is only a beta version of the website and we are currently finishing development on specific features and tweaking certain elements. Once this stage is complete we will begin large scale promotion and pull in more artists, listeners and news items.
